A man in his 30s has died at a half marathon event in Essex.
Police were called just after midday on Sunday when the man collapsed at the finish of the Southend half marathon at Shoeburyness.
The man was taken to a medical tent in Ness Road, at the event organised by the Haven's Hospice Group, where staff tried to revive him.
There are no suspicious circumstances and a report will be prepared for the coroner, police said.
